Just squeeze it in

28 Jul, 2026

I woke up late today. And I thought I didn't have enough time to hit gym. But I did hit gym and even ran 2 km.

It was all possible because I squeezed my workout session in whatever time I had in the morning.

Usually, I don't do such things. If I feel I don't have enough time for something, I either postpone or skip it. (The latter happens quite often)

But today, I just did it anyway. Even though I felt I didn't have enough time.

This made me realize that I can get some things done if I just squeeze them in.

So today, I applied the same trick elsewhere. I posted a few tweets while working. I read a few pages of the book I've been putting off for a while. And I'm writing this post now.

Tweeting, reading, writing — all these things go on my to-do list daily but I rarely tick them off. It's because I plan to do them after my work is done. And by that time, I feel tired and hit bed.

But today, I did all of them. And I could do it because I didn't wait for the ideal time window. Instead, I just squeezed 'em in and got 'em done.

Is this approach sustainable? Will it lead to burnout? Maybe or maybe not.

For now, I'm just happy that I broke the cycle of waiting for an ideal time, not finding it, and not doing what I want to do.

I just did it!
